This page is for the benefit of the WWU Theology “club” that I am facilitating at Western’s Campus in Spring 2010.
The group will meet on Fridays from 3-5pm in VU 460.
Friday, April 16 – What are the essentials of the Gospel?
Here are the topical suggestions that I received at Friday’s meeting:
– How do we deal with Biblical “contradictions”, and what do we mean when we call Scripture the “Word of God”?
– Law & Gospel: How should a Christian rightly view the Law?
– Spiritual Warfare / The Holy Spirit in general
– Paedobaptism (infant baptism) versus Credobaptism
– Predestination / Calvinism
Hey! Where do you worship up in B’ham? I graduated from WWU back in 2000. Are you a part of a campus ministry?
Hey Tim,
I worship at Oikos Fellowship (it’s a church plant of about 5 years). I was involved in CCF for 3 years here. What about you?
I was a part of CCF for 3-4 years and I worshiped at what’s now called Covenant Grace Reformed Church (then, it was the Lynden Orthodox Christian Reformed Church) out in Lynden. We used to have a car load or three of college students visiting that church every Lord’s Day. It was awesome! The consistory of that church used to give me as much money as I wanted to buy books to distribute on campus. It was a wonderful time… Calvinizing the campus. Let’s keep in touch. I’d love to hear about your experiences on campus (and in music – I was a music minor [Liberal Studies major, baby!]).
